Welcome to Wedding Day Illustrated!

On January 2nd, 2003, Janna and Michael finally "Thai-ed the knot" in the Northern Thailand city of Chiang Mai. The wedding was arranged upon our arrival in Chiang Mai with the trusty help of our wedding planner, the formidable Khun Sangthien. All told, the wedding numbered 21 attendees, counting handlers, musicians, dancers, cooks, photographers and, oh...the bride and groom.

Done in the northern Thailand "Lanna" style, our big day featured monks, blessings, merit-making, bird-releasing, fingernail dancers, traditional Thai cuisine, vows, rings, a ceremonial bedchamber, some wicked-cool clothing, lots and lots of string and lots and lots of photos.

The bride and groom are both resting comfortably.
